The mission of the study program

Bioresource Engineering is an interdisciplinary program that integrates engineering, design and biology, with the aim of training graduates capable of applying engineering principles for the improvement and sustainability of the world’s natural resources. Bioresource engineers are looking for solutions to problems involving plants, animals and the environment.

The objectives of the study program

The Bioresources Engineering program focuses on fundamental interdisciplinary knowledge and practical applications in different engineering contexts and functional skills needed to solve the problems of using bioresources. This program will provide students with the skills needed to evaluate existing production, delivery and quality management systems, make improvements and communicate effectively with colleagues in multidisciplinary teams. The aim of the program is to provide world-class knowledge on techniques for biotechnological applications, food storage and processing, agricultural structures, plant and animal environment, waste management, bioremediation, design and control of ecosystems and ecosystems, post-harvest technology, remote sensing, GIS, heat and meal transfer, fermentation, nutrition and food safety. The Bioresources Engineering program provides students with the tools they need to understand how agriculture and food production interact to better manage food, feed, and biomass systems for a healthy diet.
